Showdown 1884: A Steampunk Election LARP

By Neil Fotherby

The 1884 presidential slugfest is going strong. Peanut pioneer George W. Carver is facing down steamboat enthusiast Samuel Clemens in one of the closest races in US history. A team of yellow journalists are circulating papers detailing a tirade of Carver’s former reverend, calling the democrats the party of “rum, Romanism, and rebellion”. Also, Gary Busey. This event uses risqué comedy and is quite crass!
